New Hampton, NY – Extraordinary achievement in local commercial real estate was celebrated at the recent third annual “Dealmaker” awards and mixer. The event was presented by the Hudson Valley chapter of NYSCAR (New York State Commercial Association of REALTORS®), New York’s elite network of commercial real estate professionals. The event was created to acknowledge exceptional achievements in local commercial real estate deals brokered within the Hudson Valley and was hosted at the Orange County Distillery “Brown Barn” in New Hampton.The event was well attended by distinguished members of the real estate community who came to show their support, network and recognize the accomplishments of 2017’s “Dealmakers.”

Honored for outstanding achievement by their peers this year were Peter Malone and Brian Coleman for “Economic Development Dealmakers,” and RJ Smith for “Creative Dealmaker.” Special honors were posthumously bestowed upon Stephen Perfit, CCIM. The “Lifetime Achievement” award was presented to his wife, Collette and daughter, Jolie, highlighting this special event. As each of the other award recipients came to the podium to pick up their “trophies”, they honored Steve’s memory by recounting their stories of how he positively influenced their careers in commercial real estate.

Steve was a respected and decorated member of the Hudson Valley Chapter, as well as the State Board, of the New York State Commercial Association of Realtors.
